The top blend at our 32nd Annual Spring Bash and Blending Party!

Attendees from coast to coast attended our annual Spring Bash in May 2017 where each team tasted, measured and created their own blend under the guidance of veteran AVV winemaker Kevin Hall.

Once each team produced their favorite wine, spirited judging ensued for the top pick.  Team Wine 4 Nine blended the winning wine at the 32nd annual Spring Bash and Blending Party.  Team members Ann Nally (Sebastopol, CA), Mike Nally (Pacifica, CA), Jamaica Nally (Pacifica, CA), Brian Rushka (Santa Rosa, CA), Athena Rushka (Santa Rosa, CA), Roxanne Gudebrod (Petaluma, CA), Billy Yoes (Sebastopol, CA), Dolly Stacey (Santa Rosa, CA) and Doug Yule (Sebastopol, CA) crafted a well balanced dark purple wine with a blend of three lots of Petite Sirah, Petite Verdot and Merlot.  The wine was aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels.

In the glass there are spicy aromas of rich dark fruits, black cherry, blackberry and blueberry. This wine has juicy, earthy flavors of black cherry, plum, earthy, vanilla, chocolate  and a long, lingering finish.

This wine is available to wine club members, visitors to our tasting room and online wine shop.
