This week's special brings one of our exclusive tasting room wines to you! Our Wine Club Reserve is little known gem. This small-production wine is the result of the spirited blending competition that we host each year for our Wine Club members. These passionate AVV fans create unique blends, and then winemaker Kevin Hall selects the winner.
The last competition's winning wine is similar to a classic Bordeaux-style blend, and many are having quite a bit of fun pouring it for Right Bank Bordeaux lovers! This is a full-bodied, savory red wine with rich, concentrated dark fruit flavors balanced by racy acidity.
In the glass ripe aromas of cassis, plum, black cherry are followed by notes of chocolate and oak. Fruit flavors of plum, red and black cherry are balanced by nice acidity on the finish. This is a savory wine, with rich and concentrated flavors. Some might even compare it to a young Right Bank Bordeaux!
